The Blakelands Estate

We had the most incredible wedding day at Blakelands in May 2024. From the moment we came for our viewing, we knew this was the venue for us. All of the little personal details they consider, the caring nature of all of the staff, their willingness to be flexible and make the day totally tailored to you. They are the most organised and relaxed team too which really helps put your mind at ease and know the day is going to run smoothly! The grounds are stunning and so many different backdrops for pictures. The food was incredible! So many compliments on the portion sizes and the standard of food. We could not have wished for a more perfect day and cannot thank Blakelands and the whole team enough for everything!

Where do we begin? Just the best day ever! We are still on cloud nine after our wedding on the 1st October and we cannot thank the team at the Blakelands enough! We had been planning our day for over 3 years and we wish we could do it all over again. The venue as a whole is just stunning, the staff were kind, calm and caring and their efforts went above and beyond to make our day so personal. The food was just amazing, we had the Leek and Potato soup, Roast Turkey and Sticky toffee pudding (with ice cream of course) with the Pizza oven for our evening food which was a huge hit with our guests! We had the heavens open on us as we were about to be seated for outdoor ceremony and the staff managed to turn everything around for an indoor ceremony in just 10 minutes! We are actually so happy it rained as our ceremony indoors was so warm, cosy and intimate and it gave us a laugh seeing all our guests mad dashes for cover! Our wedding day was even more special as we had so many family members travel in from all corners of the world (everywhere from the USA to New Zealand) and people saw each other for the first time in 20+ years which made things even more special and the Blakelands was the perfect place to host our wedding with all of the onsite bedrooms! All of the guests had nothing but positive words and love for the venue. I am lucky to be a wedding photographer knowing that I get to come back here next month to shoot a wedding and hopefully will be coming back for more in the future. There are no words to describe what a great place this is. My wife and I got married here and it couldn't be more perfect. The place itself is stunning with breathtaking grounds and views surrounding the beautiful country house. Inside is much of the same with amazingly decorated rooms in keeping with the traditional theme and decor. But a venue isn't just made by the building or grounds, it's the staff also, and I cannot speak highly enough of those who work at Blakelands. From the planning and preparation all the way to the day itself, the staff were absolutely fantastic! They dealt with every question and concern and made planning and execution of the wedding as easy as possible. If you want a country style wedding then I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. To Blakelands and the team we thank you so much.

What an absolute gorgeous venue. Was my chosen wedding venue 😊💒 - The staff are all lovely and very understanding, as well as helpful in every way. The owners are wonderful and try their best to accommodate any requests you may have. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The Malting Barn (reception area) is stunning and is the perfect mix of modern and country. They are reasonable in price and the food (+drinks) are worth every penny. The bedrooms are stunning, and the main one makes you want to live there forever 😁. I wish I could relive my wedding day as a guest just to experience the whole venue in a different light. But anyway, I could not fault this lovely place and would recommend to anyone looking for a barn-style wedding venue.

Absolutely stunning venue. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The ceremony was lovely and emotional. The grounds were fantastic and everywhere you walked in the grounds, there was something really unique to see. The wedding meal was faultless and our room was top class. I will hopefully go back really soon.
