WOW. Wow, wow and wow again... ...we had a truly spectacular wedding experience thanks to Mel and Luke from Chew Valley Weddings. Yes, the site is exquisitely beautiful with some dreamy accommodation and room to roam wild, and yes, we were lucky to bag the last sunshiny weekend of the summer, but the time, care, generosity and constant willingness to go the extra mile from Mel and Luke made us feel like nothing was a problem. We felt completely 'held' and supported from start to finish. From the outset, we were allowed to create an event that was solely our own, specific to us and our (large/unruly) families.. all of our nervous pre-event questions were answered with patience and detail and multiple site visits were happily arranged (often at short notice)... together, Mel and Luke helped us solve every little problem that presented itself, giving oodles of ideas from signage to catering and toilets to soundsystems. They created several bespoke areas for the wedding ceremony, games, drinks reception and afterparty - they relocated the entire dancefloor and PA system at our request, added an extra tipi, created an additional camping field, loaned us ladders, transport, hay bales, lights, kit and equipment - all of which went waaaaaay beyond the detail of our contracted agreement. We started with a plan of how the weekend might go and ended up with something that exceeded anything this very happy bride and groom could EVER have imagined. Mel and Luke - we are forever in your debt. THANK YOU. We (obviously) cannot recommend Chew Valley Weddings enough.
Edit - It saddens me after having a really lovely experience for our wedding to have to say it has been soured by our treatment since that weekend. Although everything I've said still stands, and the Natures Spectacular part of the transaction has been nothing but positive. Just have your wits about you when dealing with Chew Valley Weddings themselves. Underhanded tactics on their part to avoid refunding deposits as per our contract, to be specific. They are seperate entities and I wouldn't say their messages/mantras/vibes align. We still intend to go back to enjoy Natures Spectacular's fabulous accommodations next year, but any recommendations I give going forward will be given with a heavy heart from the Chew Valley Weddings side of the transaction. We had our wedding at Natures Spectacular 5⭐/ Chew Valley Weddings 3 ⭐ last weekend. Despite the weather being miserable all weekend (typical after a long hot summer) we all had a blast. We turned up Friday midday morning, and Neily the on site manager (legend) and his beautiful dog Zena were their to great us with his super helpful and friendly demeanor. We had the main wedding party staying in the fixed accommodation on site, 7 families came in campers/caravans and many more camping in tents. (Plenty stayed in local airbnbs too). An absolutely stunning venue. It is a shame that the rain and wind prevented us all from fully appreciating the whole site but it just meant that everyone stuck together in the tipi and enjoyed the bands and food all the more. It certainly didn't stop the kiddies running about like holligans though. We and some of our friends are planning on hiring some of the fixed on site accomodation for a long weekend next year, it was so beautiful. The most peaceful tranquil place to have your big day! Highly recommend!! Thank you Neily for everything throughout the weekend! Will certainly be looking out for Arcadia events going forward. Anything with Neily involved will be an absolute riot. Top guy.
Most amazing venue, highly recommended!
Lovely venue but they never got back to us about looking around. Also really over priced for what it is.
The only way to describe this little hidden corner of the world: pure magic. We’ll be forever connected to this unbelievably beautiful place we got to call home for the weekend - the perfect place to host the best party of our lives. From planning with Mel and the team, to kicking back and enjoying our big day, every part of the experience was wrapped in West Country warmth and hospitality. Their amazing taste in food, drink, music, and everything in between meant that every little detail was thought of and taken care of. Everything we could ever have wanted on our wedding day — all in one place.
