Auchen Castle

We attended a wedding at Auchen Castle yesterday evening, and the entire experience was absolutely magical. The venue itself is breathtaking — a true fairytale setting — but what made the night truly special was the incredible staff. A huge thank you to Steve, Val, Jules, Ailey, and Carrie (the event manager) for their warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness. Every detail was handled with such care, and their hospitality went far beyond our expectations. They made everyone feel welcome and at ease, and it was clear how much pride they take in creating a perfect experience for every guest. The atmosphere, food, and service were all exceptional, and the entire evening was a beautiful celebration that our close friends — and all of us — will remember for years to come. Thank you, Auchen Castle, for making the wedding so unforgettable. We really, really enjoyed every moment!

Wow, we had such a magical, moody and intimate wedding day. We decided to elope at Auchen Castle with just our parents, and it will forever be the best thing we ever did. All communication prior was smooth and our visit in February was fantastic. Our wedding day was 5th November, from start to finish everything was amazing and went smoothly thanks to the girls at Auchen - Lynne, Sarah and Abbie. A special mention for Kerry who looked after us throughout the afternoon/ evening, she certainly made our evening even more special, warm, brought the laughter and conversation. The castle catered for my gluten free needs being a coeliac, our wedding dinner was very good and we shared a beautiful cheese board late into the evening. Auchen Castle is a masterpiece in its own right, stunning in all its glory, our parents were in awe. We would choose Auchen over and over again and would highly recommend to anyone looking to get married there. Thank you so much for having us and being a huge part of our day.

We had our perfect wedding day at Auchen Castle in December 2024, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations! From start to finish, everything was absolutely incredible; the venue, the food, the service, the staff, the grounds — we genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. Our guests were full of praise throughout the weekend, especially for the delicious food and outstanding service. We received so many compliments on how beautiful and unique the venue was, it really left a lasting impression on everyone. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. We hosted a welcome party the evening before the wedding, which really set the tone for the whole weekend. I had completely forgotten to arrange a vegetarian meal for one of our guests that evening, but the team were incredibly accommodating and quickly prepared a separate dish without any fuss. A special mention must go to Fiona, who made sure everything ran smoothly. She was so calm, professional, and reassuring, and really took the stress out of the whole experience. The bar staff were also fantastic and many of our guests commented on how reasonable the bar prices were, which is always a bonus! We brought quite a bit of our own decor to personalise the venue, and Abbie and the team did a beautiful job setting everything up with very little direction. It was exactly how we imagined it, they completely nailed it. On the morning of the wedding, the staff were once again beyond helpful. From helping me into my dress, to putting on my shoes, to finding last-minute bits and pieces, nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you to Conor who was especially helpful and kind. Fiona once again made sure everything ran to time — so seamlessly that we didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day itself. Our time at Auchen Castle was magical from beginning to end. The only “complaint” we received from guests was that they didn’t want to leave! We honestly couldn’t recommend Auchen Castle more highly to any couples looking for a wedding venue. Despite the fact that they host so many weddings each year, the team still manage to make you feel like your day is the most important one. They give 100% to making sure it runs perfectly, and they absolutely succeeded. Thank you so much to everyone at Auchen Castle who played a part in making our wedding unforgettable. We had the most wonderful time and truly wish we could do it all over again. We hope to return someday!

We had our wedding at Auchen Castle back in May and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. We're from the United States, and because we were having a destination wedding, we had to place a lot of trust in the venue. Thankfully the entire Auchen staff, led by Fiona, Sarah, and Lynne, are world-class at their job. Communication with Auchen was always simple, and every request, big or small, was accommodated. They translated our vision perfectly. We chose the "All Taken Care Of" package, so nearly everything was included, from the flowers to the cake to the owl delivering our rings and more. And for the pieces not part of the package (officiant, photographer, etc.) -- the Auchen staff had wonderful recommendations for us. Our family and wedding party all stayed in the castle for the weekend – it doesn’t get better than that. We added on the "Linger Longer" package to stay both Friday and Saturday night in the castle. As a result, we were able to stretch out our time with guests and really savor the wedding weekend, despite it still rushing by! The meal plating was some of the most beautiful we’d seen at a wedding, and it tasted great too! Guests are still talking about the banoffee pie and late-night bites. Auchen also allowed everyone to find something to do during their stay – whether it was enjoy a cocktail at the bar, wander the grounds for a quiet moment, or simply take in the beautiful architecture and details of the castle exterior, it was truly a magical place for a wedding! When we first found Auchen Castle through an online search, we knew there was something special about this venue. After spending the best weekend there, we can confidently say that anyone looking to get married in Scotland (local or destination) should not think twice about booking Auchen.

Auchen Castle was a dream come true. My wife and I were married there in Autumn, and the castle was absolutely stunning. The day we arrived was sunny and bright illuminating the changing colors of the trees. The castle itself was incredible. The interior decor was amazing. Everything was done to perfection. The service from the staff, (special thanks to Kari, Sarah, and Steven) from the manager to the bartender to the waitstaff, were beyond words. They were there to help every step of the way. It felt like a fairytale. The day of the wedding the castle and loch were shrouded in mists making for a slightly chilly outdoor ceremony, but amazing pictures. The castle staff was there to help quickly moving cocktails and canapes indoors while we took our pictures outside on the castle grounds. The food was divine. We had a large array of options to choose from, and they were so accommodating for a variety of food requirements from allergies to vegan alternatives. Everything we and our guests had was amazing. We opted for the All Taken Care Of Package, and they truly took care of us. The only vendor we had to book ourselves was a photographer, Alysa Tarrant from Wildling Weddings. They plan for everything and were incredibly helpful. We didn't need a wedding planner because they took care of everything. We upgraded to include archery after the ceremony and fireworks at night. Because the ceremony was outdoor, we didn't have an owl deliver our rings, but Pitta the Barn Owl still made an appearance after the ceremony and really stole the show.
