The Rowantree

My Husband and I got married at The Rowntree on Saturday 11th of October this year and it was fantastic! The team at Unusual Events were so easy to communicate with, had lots of advice and helped put my mind at ease. The inclusion of catering when choosing the venue lifted a massive weight off our shoulders and the recommended vendors that the venue has worked before were amazing! The help on the actual day was so good, I knew the schedule but didn’t have to worry about carrying it out.

Had a fantastic 21st birthday for my daughter here. Dylan at the venue was an absolute star and liaised with us months in advance to help plan,which made the party a success on the night. Delicious food we choose sit down 3 courses, great wine selection. Front of house attention to detail was second to none. Tables were well set and service at tables and bar staff slick as a result of the two managers co ordination on the night. All very friendly and could not do enough for us. Everything ran to clockwork. All our guests were blown away by the venue,food and service. Great to host in a venue with so much history in Edinburgh’s historic old town. We were able to fit in a band a dj and a Photo Booth. Would highly recommend if looking for a venue to host a special party.

The Rowantree was the perfect venue for our daughter's 21st birthday party! The actual venue is a fantastic centuries old cellar which has been beautifully and sympathetically updated into an amazing party venue in the heart of the Edinburgh. All the Unusual Event staff professionally and smoothly handled all our requests for the actual event. Each and every person we dealt with was knowledgable, patient and helpful with our planning decisions, which culminated in a roaring success. On the evening of our event, the staff were very professional, efficient and discreet throughout the night. They even cheerfully agreed to wear special colours in line with the party theme! A special shout out to Dylan for all his help in preparing for the evening, Mairead for managing the actual event and the chef who prepared a delicious meal, which everyone raved about. Mairead, the event manager, was a true professional in every way. We only found out at the end of the night that our party was Mairead's first event as sole manager. We recently held our wedding reception at the Rowantree, and it was exactly what we wanted. The space is so unique and the staff were fantastic both those helping us through planning and those on the day. Everything ran so smoothly throughout the whole evening, and a big thanks to Chelsea, who was so accomodating and friendly. We had a prosecco & canape welcome, followed by evening buns and cheese boards later in the evening, and the guests loved the food (in particular the chicken croquettes). Overall, we had an unforgettable evening and so glad we chose the Rowantree to host.

We celebrated our wedding reception at The Rowantree, and it was everything we wanted and more. We started the planning process totally clueless and Dylan expertly guided us through from start to finish. Dylan and Caroline were always happy to answer questions and keep us right along the way and their suppliers list was super helpful and saved us many google searches! The night itself went off without a hitch with the onsite team keeping everything running smoothly - nothing was too much trouble. Highly highly recommend the Unusual Venues team for your event!
