Tollcross Central Hall

A very nice experience. I attended a session which was part of the Edinburgh International book festival here. The hall is well maintained and the washrooms were clean. If you are visiting Edinburgh for the first time then it's better to catch a taxi from the railway station to get here. Walking using Google Maps will confuse you.

Clothes bank is great. People are really nice and helpful and it's a beautiful building too.

The entrance is very well hidden down a wee sidey street. There are many stairs to get in so if you have even mild disability I'd recommend looking for the lift entrance a bit further along the street. Inside after entering there are even more stairs to climb to reach the main hall but the seats for the hall are up another level of stairs (there is a lift down the corridor towards the men's bathrooms). The main hall is stunning with very beautiful ornate decoration. The staff seem very young and are fairly helpful. The bathrooms for the ladies are beautifully kept, very clean and tidy. Can't comment on the men's room as I didn't use it as I'm a lady ! 🤭

My first time in here although I've lived in edinburgh all my days, lovely venue, great hall size and most of all very clean toilets

Went there for Primary School Glee competition, it has a good seating space, not excess for wheel chair, parking is a huge issue as there is no parking, have to go look around for parking where u can get.
