Kind, friendly, and helpful staff welcomed me to this fabulous property. Stunning location and outlook. Warm, comfortable, well-equipped room, and a very comfortable bed. The food was exceptional. An extensive evening meal selection that was genuinely well-priced, and the quality was incredible. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Just got back from a night away at Hazelwood castle. Stayed in the st Margaret's rooms ( primrose) lovely spacious room and also dog friendly. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. And the wife had a treatment in the spa. The place is steeped in history and the staff kindly gave us access to the chapel where we discovered the two human skulls in corner of the chapel. All the staff from check in, restaurant/bar and the spa were very helpful and friendly.. will definitely return. Tony and Deborah and also Louis

My dad stayed for a special birthday . The room wasnt great when he showed me round , wallpaper hanging off in places , pictures dropped down in the frames not straightened back up n bath panel half hanging off little things that spoilt it n u wouldnt expect at a nice place . Also only one member of staff on, although she was lovely and not her fault she was over stretched so we couldnt even get a drink on his 70th birthday half of the time had to go looking for her or get it ourself n tell her after n the room was boiling hot its not on when ppl are paying good money n its a special occasion . The meal he said was great and better service , the breakfast wasnt as nice n meat very salty .

Visited on 30 January for lunch with my wife and elderly mother (a late Christmas present for her). The food and service was excellent especially Amanda at the front of house who went out of her way to make us welcome and take time to check in with us during our visit explaining some of the amazing history of the castle which dated back to the 11th century. This place is a hidden gem and well a worth a visit

Dirty, dated rooms. Worn mattresses springs sticking in you. Dips in the middle of the bed. Dirty mattress and mattress protector. Stained curtains. Shower enclosure seal broken and mouldy. I was shocked at how bad it was. Premier Inn luxury in comparison. Had no sleep whatsoever. Worst hotel ive stayed in for a long time. Toilets around the hotel werw freezing cold. I kept my coat on the whole time during stay.
