What Couples Say

We cannot recommend Priory Cottages, and Kat & Amy, highly enough. We fell in love with the venue the very first time we saw it - it’s stunning, beautifully maintained, and truly stood out from the other wedding venues we viewed, many of which felt quite tired in comparison. From the very beginning of our planning journey, Kat and Amy were absolutely incredible. They guided us through every step, clearly explaining what they needed from us while also offering brilliant recommendations for vendors - all of whom turned out to be fantastic. They went above and beyond to help us shape the day exactly the way we imagined, even moving things around so we could have all the key moments (ceremony, wedding breakfast, DJ, etc.) in the space we loved most. Their support throughout the entire process was outstanding. They were always quick to respond, endlessly patient with our questions, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly. On the big day, they were an absolute dream - calm, organised, and incredibly helpful. We would choose Priory Cottages again in a heartbeat. It was the perfect venue, and Kat and Amy made the experience unforgettable. We’re so grateful and can’t recommend them enough.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Priory Barn & Cottages recently, and it’s such a lovely venue. The setting feels private and relaxed, with plenty of character and charm. The layout flows well for a wedding day, and the outdoor areas are perfect for natural, candid shots — especially during golden hour. If you're planning your wedding at Priory Barn, it’s a great choice. I’m Lauren from LHT Photography, and I’ve worked at the venue before, so I know all the best spots for photos. Feel free to reach out if you’re after relaxed, documentary-style photography that captures all the real moments of your day.

A real surprise and wonderful wedding venue. Food was simply amazing and staff very helpful. Didn't stay but friends with rooms loved them.

The most perfect wedding venue. We couldn't possibly write in words how thankful we are to have found this venue and to them for helping create the most incredible weekend for our wedding. We wanted abroad feels but in Yorkshire - well this is the one. From booking the venue we attended many of their open days which added to our excitement and helped us fall in love with the venue more and more each time. On the lead up we were invited to the venue for meetings with our coordinator who helped us stay on track with wedding planning and kept the whole experience stress free. We used the vodka made on site as wedding favours/name placements which gave it an extra special touch. The cottages are perfect - Yorkshire feel, cosy, spacious, modern. We slept all our family and bridal party the night before and of the wedding. A huge plus for a wedding weekend having accommodation on site. Big shout out to Amy who ran our wedding day seamlessly - nothing was too much, everything was sorted, and it felt like I had a genuine friend looking after us on the day. Thank you Priory for making our wedding so so special.

Superb accommodation. Very well appointed and a splendidly equipped kitchen. It was so nice to have the full range of kitchen utensils and enough cutlery, glassware and crockery of all kinds. It was very quiet and peaceful, even with young families with small kids and dogs - never heard any noise from them. The , location is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. I'm not sure how it would be if there was a function happening - but that seems to be an important part of the business. A couple of little niggles: There is no access to the back of the accommodation without entering the front door, so it is a little awkward to clean up dogs and boots after a muddy walk. Also, the back garden, which is amazingly large, is not fenced from the neighbouring fields, so dogs that are let out of the back need constant attention. But none of this detracts from the high standards, cleanliness and peacefulness of the place.
