That Amazing Place

As a business owner myself, I do not usually leave negative reviews. I understand that mistakes happen and that events can be challenging. However, after attending an event at That Amazing Place and then reading how the venue responds to genuine guest feedback, I felt compelled to speak up. I personally witnessed behaviour from the owner and staff that was confrontational, dismissive, and completely inappropriate. What troubled me most was not just what happened on the day, but the complete lack of accountability shown afterwards. The responses to reviews from guests who were there follow the same pattern: deny everything, blame guests, and show no reflection or remorse. When multiple people who attended the same event raise similar concerns, and the response is always to accuse them of “lying” or “slandering” the business, it says a lot about how issues are handled. This is not how a professional venue should respond when things go wrong. The venue itself is attractive, which makes this even more disappointing. But a nice setting cannot compensate for how people are treated once problems arise. Based on what I witnessed with my own eyes, and how concerns have been dismissed since, I would strongly discourage anyone from booking this venue for an important occasion. If you are planning a once in a lifetime event, I would not take the risk.

We are so happy we chose That Amazing Place as our wedding venue. It truly lived up to its name. From start to finish everything was perfect. Angie was absolutely amazing at organising everything and nothing was ever too much trouble. She made the whole process feel effortless. We met Louise at our first visit to the venue and she is partly why we booked straight away. No question was too much and we knew as soon as we walked into the house it was the one! The venue itself is stunning, we loved that we had the entire place to ourselves. The marquee, the house, the rooms, everything was just perfect. Me and my bridal party stayed in the Wedding Lodge the night before, which was such a lovely and relaxing start to the celebrations. It rained on our wedding day but Angie was so calm and reassuring. She worked closely with us to make the right decision about where to hold the ceremony and in the end we made the right call as the rain held off just long enough for us to get married outside! Thank you so much to Angie and the whole team for making our day so special. We wish we could do it all over again and hopefully one day we will be back as guests at someone else’s wedding. ✨

Best day of our lives at That Amazing Place! Absolutely stunning venue totally brought to life by the fabulous organised kind funny people working there. Extra huge thanks to Angie who has been there through every single emailed question and had advice, wisdom, ideas and skill to bring our wedding vision to reality. Our guests had an amazing time and my son now wants me to have my 41st birthday party there 🤣

Angie and Louise was amazing (no pun intended) from the start! The On line portal was a big help for information and keeping things in one place. They answered all questions I had big or small very quickly. On the day was was great communication and adapting! My husband and I had no worries about anything. I am so glad that he and I could put our trust in them and not have it broken. Plus the rooms was clean and well presented. Everyone loved their room and slept well. Everyone who works there are friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much!!!

We got married at That Amazing Place in October and from the moment we came to see it we knew it was the perfect venue. The grounds are stunning and the house itself is absolutely gorgeous. I cannot thank Angie, Paul and the incredible team enough for giving us the perfect wedding day. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they went above and beyond at every opportunity. Everything was thought of, everything was perfect, and it was so reasonable for an exclusive use venue of this level of style, with the expertise of the staff and the dedication to make every aspect of the day perfect.
