What Couples Say

I spent about 5 nights here for work and my entire stay was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and acomodable. The location is perfect if you’re looking to get around the city - about a 5 min walk to the tube. Biggest shoutout to Pervez, the doorman, who truly made my experience all the better!! Coming from a hospitality background myself, he is by far one of the best people in the industry I have met.

We spent 5 nights and it was great. Unbeatable location and walking distance to iconic landmarks, west end shows, and anything you would want to see in London (or close to bus and train stops if you're wanting to venture out). But the best thing about the hotel was the staff. We were travelling with an 18 month old and everyone was an absolute delight. I have to make a special mention about the breakfast staff. Eaxh morning they welcomed our daughter like she was family, saying hello, taking her to our seats, bringing her favourite strawberries and even going exploring to find buscuits. It was truly great and a highlight of our stay and we hope they are told about the great service they provide (plus the breakfast was dead set amazing.)

I recently had a meeting at the Royal Horseguards Hotel and booked afternoon tea for two through a tour company, at a cost of $147 (approximately £110). I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience. The Royal Horseguards Hotel is a beautiful showcase of Victorian grandeur blended seamlessly with modern elegance. This iconic riverside venue is steeped in history, incorporating the National Liberal Club and once serving as the residence of Britain’s first Chief of MI6. It was also frequented by historical figures such as Winston Churchill and William Gladstone, adding a remarkable sense of heritage to the experience. The Lounge itself radiates warmth, comfort, and understated sophistication, making it an ideal setting for afternoon tea. The presentation was impeccable: delicately prepared finger sandwiches, decadent sweet treats, and perfectly baked scones served with jam and clotted cream. These were accompanied by an extensive and thoughtfully curated selection of teas. As an unexpected and delightful touch, I was even offered a glass of champagne by a neighboring table—an indulgent gesture that made the experience feel truly special. From start to finish, the afternoon tea was pure heaven and a memorable highlight of my visit. Elegant, indulgent, and rich in history, afternoon tea at the Royal Horseguards Hotel is a quintessentially British experience that I would gladly enjoy again.

We stayed for 3 nights as a family and were very satisfied with our experience. The hotel’s location and historic atmosphere were wonderful. Breakfast was satisfying with a wide variety of options. The rooms and bathroom were extremely comfortable, and the complimentary minibar was a great bonus. The staff were very kind and helpful. Especially Javier’s warm welcome at check-in and Pervez’s friendliness and attentiveness every time we entered or left the hotel made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in December. The location is amazing, the facility is historic and beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable. EXCEPTING, we had no hot water for HALF of our stay. Each time we spoke to the front desk about it, there was another polite excuse about how it was, "Just fixed!" with one reason after another. It was never fixed and we suffered two mornings with icy cold showers. Upon check out, the morning manager, Rhianna Riley, said she would give us a scant 20% refund, but that has never happened. Stay here only if you desire beautiful lodging, at an excessive cost, but don't require hot water.
