The Tithe Barn

We recently had the absolute joy of celebrating our wedding at Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey, and we can honestly say it was everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we first visited, we were completely enchanted by the breathtaking setting – nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, with stunning views of the river, abbey ruins, and countryside. It’s the kind of place that makes your heart skip a beat and your photos look like something out of a fairytale. Right from the start, the staff at Tithe Barn were phenomenal. A huge thank you to Sam, who gave us our first tour of the venue and helped us see the potential of the space – her warmth and enthusiasm made us instantly feel at home. And Julia, our coordinator on the day, was a complete superstar. She was calm, kind, and totally on top of every detail. Nothing was too much trouble, and thanks to her, everything ran like clockwork – we were able to truly relax and enjoy the moment knowing we were in such capable hands. Throughout the planning process, the team were incredibly patient, responsive, and helpful. Whether it was answering endless questions or tweaking timings, they made us feel completely supported. On the day itself, they worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything was perfect – and it really was. Let’s talk about the food – wow! Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was. From the canapés to the main course and evening food, every bite was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. It really added to the whole experience and was a huge highlight for us and our guests. We’ve had so many people tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to – and we completely understand why. The venue, the food, the atmosphere, the team – it all came together in the most perfect way. Tithe Barn is one of those rare venues that combines historic charm with modern comfort, professional service with personal warmth, and natural beauty with careful attention to detail. If you’re considering getting married here – do it. You will not regret it for a second. Thank you, Tithe Barn, for giving us the most magical start to married life. We booked the Tithe Barn for our wedding and we knew it would be amazing, but it completely exceeded all our expectations. Every guest we spoke to commented on the venue being so beautiful and the food being out of this world. The staff couldn’t do enough. Even from the point of booking, the communication has been wonderful, making the whole process so easy and stress free. Honestly can’t rate the place enough. It’s simply stunning

My partner and I got married at Tithe Barn on 22 02 25 and it was honestly the most perfect day for us. Right from our first visit to the venue we fell in love with the barn. Add to that how attentive all of the staff have been since we confirmed our booking (right from then all the way through to the days just after the wedding), we could not recommend Tithe Barn and the Cripps & Co staff more. The ability to use the quote function on the website was a huge plus for us during the venue scouting phase and in the weeks after we had confirmed Tithe Barn as our wedding venue. It's flexibility really did mean there were no hidden costs and it also meant that we went to visit the venue for the first time with a true view of cost (something we found most other venues avoid providing until after you have visited). Cripps & Co use a portal platform as a one stop shop to keep on top of the wedding quote, timetable for the day, manage supplier information and also as a comms inbox with the staff. This again made our life so so easy, especially with the responses in the comms inbox being so prompt (majority within 24 hours). We would highly recommend the feast nights as a way to get a real feel for the food that cripps have to offer. We attended in Jan 24 and while the menu wasn't exactly what we were expecting to pick for our own wedding, it gave a large range of what to expect and it was all fantastic. We went home suitably stuffed and it came away with added comfort on how much of a hit the wedding breakfast be (because the food was outstanding). It was a really great evening to say the least and really interesting to sit on a table with other couples that were on the lead up to their day too. The lead up to the big day felt seamless, with a meeting a few months in advance to confirm everything as well as regular comms whenever needed. A huge positive for us on the day itself was that the team honestly set everything up themselves. While we provided instructions and the required decoration etc, the groom and groomsman only had to drop items off and that was it. This made for a much less stressful morning than I can imagine and know has been the case for family and friends. We're probably missing a few more points on why someone should absolutely use Tithe Barn as a wedding venue but to summise...you would absolutely not regret it. We have just had our wedding at the Tithe Barn and we couldn’t recommend it more highly. From our first visit to the big day, the whole team were incredible. They were all so attentive and helpful no matter how many questions we asked or requests we made. They made the entire process feel absolutely seamless and took away all the stress we may have been feeling both in the lead up and on the day itself. The barn has an incredible atmosphere that is something truly special. The food, drink, lighting and outdoor space really are perfect and made our day truly special for us. Will be reliving the day for a long time to come!

What a venue. If you are looking for something special then look no further. Everything about it is absolutely class; food, service, efficiency, delivery. They know what they are doing and they do it to the highest standard which was a massive part of the most prefect day
